He graduated in Chemistry at Pisa University in 2000 with full marks (cum laude), discussing a thesis on synthesis and evaluation of chiral stationary phases for HPLC and in 2004 he received his Ph.D in Chemistry and Technology of Drugs and Bioactive Compounds at Pisa University under the supervision of Prof. G. Catelani with a thesis in Carbohydrate Chemistry. In 2004 he was scientist in ProtEra srl in Florence then he moved to the Chemistry Research Laboratory, Oxford University, in UK, as Marie Curie Fellow. The post doctoral research activity was supervised by Prof. Fairbanks on intramolecular glycosylations. In 2007 he came back to Italy and started working in Dipharma srl in Milan as Senior Researcher and in 2009 he became Research Manager leading a team working on research of new synthetic processes for the preparation of active pharmaceutical ingredients. In 2019 he moved to Verona in Newchem S.p.A as Director of the R&D Department. He is co-author of more than 20 publications in international journals and over 60 Italian and International patents. He is also author of several lectures and posters in international conferences.
